July Africa Missions Trip

July 7-23, six members of New Covenant left for Rwanda and Uganda Africa.  In Rwanda, the team met with some of the students our church sponsors for school fees. They also participated in a worship training workshop with the cathedral choir.  Following the time in Rwanda, the team traveled by bus to Uganda. In the first days they visited two North American missionary families living and doing ministry in Uganda. Then by invitation of the Bishop of Central Buganda, they traveled to Kasaka to lead a family life conference organized by the diocese, and visited schools to talk about education and spirituality. They also helpde to continue our work in the area of music ministry which has been on-going since 2005.  We have been working with local church musicians to teach music theory and song writing, using the instruments of their culture.
