Pastoral Care

Pastoral care follows God’s command to take care of His people.  It is a ministry rooted in Old and New Testament Scriptures so that “our light shines for God’s glory.” 

Additionally pastoral care is grounded in God’s command for us to be missional in demonstrating the Gospel and making disciples. 

Pastoral care crosses many boundaries not only serving people within the church but all people at the place of need.  Equally important for this care is compassionately listening and understanding peoples’ expression of their journey with Jesus. 

Pastoral care includes emotional and spiritual care as well as temporal care.

At New Covenant Church, pastoral care includes every member as a minister of care to others.  We are blessed with many people in our parish who freely give of their time and resources to others. 

Pastoral care is primarily carried out through our home groups both formally and informally.  Pastoral care is performed through personal visits, Eucharistic ministry, prayer, and assisting those with temporal needs.
