The Lord promised Abraham a blessing to be a blessing to others.  In the same way, we at New Covenant understand that we must be transformed by the healing grace of God in order to join in His mission.  Our church life is meant to lay the foundation for our missional work.  Consequently any pain to a member of the body translates to pain throughout the body.  Our goal is to support one another spiritually, mentally and physically.

Prayer Ministry

We do this in a variety of ways.  One of the most important ways is bathing everything we do in prayer.  Our prayer ministers provide individual, corporate and specialized prayer support on Sundays as well as throughout the week.  All are welcome to join.

Sunday Prayer Ministry

“Come unto Me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.” This invitation by Jesus reveals His heart to and for us. He longs for our presence. New Covenant offers prayer during the Eucharist every Sunday. Teams of trained prayer ministers are stationed at either side of the Lord’s table as well as in the back of the sanctuary. If you have needs please allow us to serve you in faith, confidence and compassion.

Corporate Prayer Opportunities

  • Sunday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am there is intercession for the church in Father Carl’s office in the Parish Hall.
  • Men’s prayer is every Wednesday morning from 8:00 am - 9:00 am.
  • "Closer" – 1st Friday of every month we gather for an informal time of prayer and worship from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Healing Prayer

Healing prayer is part of the normal Christian life. This ministry is not elevated above any other ministry and it should not be undervalued. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit care as much about the body as they do the soul, as much about emotions as the spirit. Another consideration is that Jesus healed many and asks us to follow Him.

New Covenant is blessed to have a number seasoned healing prayer ministers trained in a variety of schools of healing like Elijah HouseChristian Healing MinistriesTheophostic and The Immanuel Approach. All ministers work in teams, with discernment, safety and confidentiality. If you are in need of healing please contact one of the pastoral staff and arrange an appointment.

Special Needs

We also provide physical, emotional and financial support through other means whenever possible.  Our leadership team is responsible for discerning the needs and faithfully providing the resources.
