Rev. Mother Ruan reflects on the significance of the last Sunday of the year, encouraging us to reflect on our spiritual and natural lives to press forward into the new year.

- **Reflecting on the Past Year**: In the last few days of the year, reflecting on our natural and spiritual lives is beneficial, considering how God has been present and helped us throughout the year.
- **Standing Stones of Remembrance**: Just as Prophet Samuel erected a stone to commemorate God's help, believers are encouraged to reflect on their standing stones or moments of divine help and presence in the past year.
- **Challenges and Losses**: Many people have experienced significant challenges and losses this year, but it is essential to recognize and remember God's encouragement and presence during these trials.
- **Biblical Basis for Reflection**: Biblical teachings support reflecting on the past, allowing us to judge ourselves and ensure we are in the faith, thus preparing ourselves for the future.
- **Spiritual Disciplines**: We are encouraged to assess our spiritual disciplines and goals, reflect on our progress, and plan for the new year to grow in our faith.
- **Encouragement and Love**: Messages from the Bible emphasize the importance of encouraging one another, building each other up, and clothing oneself with virtues like compassion, kindness, humility, and love.
- **God's Love**: We need to understand and embrace God's enduring love, which should be the foundation of our actions and relationships.
- **Pressing Forward with Small Steps**: We are reminded to start with small, consistent steps in our spiritual journey, aiming for an end goal of faithfulness and righteousness.
