# Summary

- Fr. Christopher begins by asking the congregation to turn to Luke Chapter 14, asking, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?"
- Jesus' Actions: Jesus is invited to a meal on the Sabbath and is under surveillance. He encounters a man suffering from abnormal swelling and asks the Pharisees if it is lawful to heal on the Sabbath.
- Healing and Teaching: Jesus heals the man and uses the opportunity to teach about being a guest and a host. He emphasizes humility and inviting those who cannot repay.
- Spiritual Lessons: The sermon parallels physical ailments and spiritual weariness, encouraging the congregation to trust God's character and be healing instruments.
- Hosting in God's Kingdom: Jesus teaches that when hosting a banquet, one should invite the poor, crippled, lame, and blind, as they cannot repay. This aligns with God's invitation list from the Old Testament.
- Final Thoughts: Fr. Christopher concludes by encouraging the congregation to be humble guests and hosts, and to reach out to those in need, reflecting Jesus' teachings.
