Sermon Lesson Summary

In this sermon, Fr. Christopher Caudle discusses the idea of "Sorry so soon" and the lag in turning or returning to the Lord. He emphasizes the importance of considering the means we use to accomplish the good ends we desire. Fr. Caudle uses the example of the people of Israel in the book of Samuel who wanted a king to govern them like other nations. However, Samuel warns them that the means they are choosing will lead to de-creation and slavery. Fr. Caudle highlights that the ways of the world often involve taking and ignoring the complications and consequences of our actions. He encourages listeners to seek God's means and follow the ways of Jesus, even if they seem counterintuitive. Fr. Caudle concludes by urging people to invite the Holy Spirit to teach them how to walk in the newness of life and to choose the means that align with God's purposes.
