And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. - Hebrew 10:24-25

Connect In Small Groups

On Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was poured out on a group. While his work in each disciple and convert was unique to them, Jesus gave the Spirit to the community he had formed and made it possible for the disciples to recognize the work of God both within them and in one another. And the same miracle happens today as disciples of Jesus gather in a variety of settings to grow in their faith and devotion to Christ.

Community won't guarantee freedom from life's struggles, but it will guarantee that your struggle will be different. To have others share in your challenges and triumphs, to pray with you and for you, to trust God's promises for others while they are simultaneously confident that "He who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it" are just some of the ways that when a small number of people gathered together because they have Jesus in common can make a huge difference in the days and years of our life.

We have a variety of small groups. Some meet together as home groups to build relationships over time and provide ongoing care for one another. Other groups are created around a particular theme or activity and meet for a set period. Groups might meet to study a book, to offer support in a particular life situation such as parenting teens or being a Christian in business, or sometimes to play a sport together. All these small groups present opportunities for you to connect with others and grow together.

We hope you will join one of the many small groups that go on at New Covenant and we would be delighted to answer any questions you may have or point you in the right direction to get involved. Click here to find the right group for you.
