Children and Families
Our children are our future and we cherish their laughter, spontaneity and joy for life. We delight in encouraging our children to discover and feel the love of God for themselves. We have Nursery care for children ages Birth- Age 2. Sunday School for children ages 3- Grade 6 takes place each Sunday morning between services at 9:00 am and during the 10:00 am service. Children are encouraged to seek, question, explore, and learn how much God loves them through the gift of His son, Jesus Christ. Our curriculum for children teaches the Bible within the framework of our Anglican tradition.
Safety for our Children
Children are precious and deserve to be treated wth respect, care, and honor. To make our parish a safe place for children and for the adults who volunteer with them, we follow a detailed plan of Risk Management. This plan includes a background check of every volunteer who works with children. They also receive training from an approved curriculum informing them of the dangers, warning signs and strategies of child predators. If you have any questions about our training or standards in this area, please contact the church staff.
Children are a sacred trust
The safety of all children in our care is very important to us. We do not minimize the importance that parents and God place upon the dignity, value and safety of each child. All leaders, teachers, substitutes and volunteers who serve in our Ministry to Children and Families have completed a background screening and criminal history reports. In addition, all these volunteers complete a mandatory Risk Management Class which equips volunteers to understand the severe consequences of child abuse and to recognize the patterns and approaches used by predators. If you have any questions about this program or other safety polices, please contact our church office at 407-699-0202.
