A Few Things to Share...

Written by Carl Buffington | June 24, 2016

Dear Friends at New Covenant,

I want to share a few things with you:

PLEASE PRAY

  • Fr. Christopher, Sheryl, and I leave for Rwanda Friday and return July 6 and 7. Christopher and I will be ministering in Gisenyi, Rwanda, on the Congolese border, with 5 bishops and their leaders. Sheryl is on the team going to the Kibondo Diocese in Tanzania. Please pray for us.

  • Since I last wrote to you all and shared about the finances being in need of lots of help, I wanted to assure you that none of the costs for this trip come from the budget. There are people in this parish and beyond that support the mission and work of the episcopate, which covers the expenses for this trip.
  • BTW, we will be meeting up with Fr. Ivan in Kigali as he is one of the 14 who are part of this Apollo2 ministry team. His second Mission India conference is scheduled for September 12-18. Bishop William and I will once again be the speakers there.

IF YOU MISSED... OR WANT TO SEE AGAIN...

  • ... Leslie Shriner's 5-minute video blog that we played in church, as part of my sermon on Extravagant Love, here's the link to it on our web site. She did a fantastic job. It is worth your time!

  • ... the video sharing by the Hunts about their experience of healing with their son Ethan, here's the link to that.

FR. RICK CHAMBERS
  • Fr. Rick and his wife, Jane, have joined the parish and he will be helping in all sorts of ways including the Wednesday Eucharist and Healing service, the new Christian Education committee, and general sacerdotal (fancy word for priestly) duties. I have attached a brief biography for you all to get to know him better.
WE MOVED
  • Barb and I, with the help of many hands, many thanks, have moved. We close this Thursday on our old address. Our new address is: 624 Jesup Springs Lane, Winter Springs, FL 32708. Just down the row of townhouses from the Butchers.

Blessings to you all, and thanks for your prayers!

PS Our hope and plan is to send back some videos for Sunday morning from Africa with Archbishop Kolini, Bishop William, and others.
