Summary

When life feels chaotic or uncertain, this sermon reminds us that God’s pattern has always been to form, fill, and bless. In Genesis, God first brought order to what was formless and empty, then filled creation with life, abundance, and beauty, and finally blessed it—revealing His wisdom, generosity, and purpose.

Human beings were created in His image to live under that blessing and to reflect His care in the world, but sin disrupted that design by bringing emptiness, disorder, and brokenness into human life.

Yet the good news is that God has not abandoned His pattern: through Jesus Christ, who was formed in humanity, filled with the Holy Spirit, and raised in victory, God is restoring what sin has damaged.

Through our repentance, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and ongoing renewal in Christ, we too can be reshaped, refilled, and sent out as a blessing to others. This means that when we feel depleted, disoriented, or spiritually dry, we can ask where God needs to bring order in us, where He wants to fill us with His presence, and how He is calling us to live as His image-bearers with faith, hope, and blessing in the world today.
